Aksum Thyateira – A Festschrift for Archbishop Methodios

Way back in 2008 I was working on the digitisation of the works of F.F Bruce. One of these was in a very hard-to-find festschrift for the Orthodox Archbishop of Great Britain and Thyateira. I wrote to the publisher, who forwarded my letter to the late Archbishop’s brother in Greece, who kindly granted me permission to reproduce not only Bruce’s article, but the entire volume. After many years I came across another copy of the book in the library of Professor C.E.B. Cranfield, which I was sorting for Book Aid and have been able to scan the remaining articles. The festschrift is written in English, French, German and modern Greek and features articles by many well-known scholars, including C.K. Barrett, James D.G. Dunn, R.P.C. Hanson, Gordon Rupp and T.F.
