    Born and raised in Rugby, Warwickshire, I grew up very much part of a church community, before spending three years immersed in children\u2019s and youth work in Camden, New Jersey and Wilmington, Delaware. These were formative years for me that led to training in theology and ministry. After college I was pastor of a congregational church in Oxfordshire for 7 years, before joining the team at Moorlands College<\/a><\/strong> in 2011, initially as Director of Youth and Community Work, and currently serving as Principal & CEO<\/a>. There is a pastoral aspect to the role, as I lead a community of staff, students and volunteers, and connect with alumni and local church leaders, and also a strategic one, leading the college in a time which is one hand complex and volatile, yet equally full of blessing and joy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Tell us a little about Moorlands College<\/h2><\/div>\n\n\n\n

    Moorlands exists to equip people, passionate about Jesus, to impact the church and world. We have been validated by the University of Gloucestershire for our higher education degrees since 1995, and were rated silver<\/a> in the 2023 Teaching Excellence Framework.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    From evangelism training in Derbyshire via a stint in Devon, the College has been at its current location just outside Christchurch, Dorset, since 1970, and as a non-denominational evangelical college we attract a range of people to study with us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Our undergraduate degrees in Applied Theology<\/a>, and Applied Theology (Youth and Community Work)<\/a> can be studied via the traditional campus based mode<\/a>, through our South West mode<\/a> where we enjoy a wonderful relationship with South West Youth Ministries, or from anywhere in the UK or beyond with our Flexible degree<\/a>, where 25% of the learning is face to face over 3 residentials a year, 25% is delivered in live online seminars, and 50% in self-paced, structured, high quality learning activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    In September 2025 we launched Moorlands Central and Eastern Europe, partnering with Josiah Venture<\/a>. We deliver our BA Applied Theology with residentials in the regional context, with currently 14 students spread over 13 nations, with plenty of room to grow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Our Graduate Diploma<\/a> is a one or two year programme designed for those who might have qualifications in other academic subjects but want to access a level 6 qualification in Applied Theology, perhaps being in ministry already.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
