Mainstream (Baptists for Life and Growth) Newsletter Now On-line

The newsletter “Mainstream (Baptists for Life and Growth / A Word & Spirit Network)” [1979-2001] can now be accessed here:

My thanks to Judy Powles for the loan of the Spurgeon’s College library set and to Rev Stephen Rand (the current editor) for his permission to place the series on-line. Issues 47-49 will be added as copies become available for scanning.

This is a valuable addition to the sites growing collection sources relating to UK (and Baptist) church history.

Proceedings of the Wesley Historical Society now on-line

I am now able to tell you all about the project I have been working since the beginning of January. The Proceedings of the Wesley Historical Society, which will be of great interest to anyone studying the Wesleys, Methodism and modern Church History are now available in PDF for free open access from Volume 1 (1897) to Volume 55 (2006) here. They complement the Tranactions of the Baptist Historical Society / Baptist Quarterly digitised and uploaded to the site last year.

I currently have two more major digitisation projects in hand, for which I am awaiting official permission to proceed. It looks like being a very busy year.

Foundations Journal now on-line

Foundations, formerly the Journal of the British Evangelical Council, is now on-line in PDF format. Affinity (the new name for the B.E.C.) host the journal on their website. It was great to work with Matthew Evans from Affinity to digitise this series. I would also like to thank the librarians of Redcliffe College and Spurgeon’s College for their kind assistance in providing original copies for scanning..
